The Club Room is a unique bar and diner located within one of Edinburgh’s most opulent buildings – The Dome. This recently refurbished venue portrays a convincing snapshot of 1930s America. The dark walnut bar and crystal chandeliers hark back to a grander age, one in which aperitifs and dressing for dinner were obligatory. Candle-lit tables and huge gilded mirrors also contribute to the unique ambience. In spite of its fine aesthetics, The Club Room is a relaxed environment in which to enjoy a few daytime drinks or a spot of lunch. Naturally, The Club Room serves a signature club sandwich, alongside traditional Scottish fare such as homemade mince and tatties. The Club Room Burger, served with thick cut chips, is equally impressive. On Thursdays to Saturdays, the bar is open till late, enabling The Club Room’s patrons to keep the good times going on into the night. An extensive wine list is complemented by an impressive collection of malt whiskies and vodkas. During the day, The Club Room does a brisk trade in lunches, with the club sandwich that shares its name proving to be just one of many highlights on the menu. The service is also impeccable, in keeping with the The Dome’s ethos.
